Cahokia Village

Cahokia Village area was settled in 1689 by French settlers and served as a Jesuit mission to convert tribes of the Illinois Confederation to Christianity. The Church of the Holy Family, is the oldest continually active Catholic parish in the US. Cahokia Village was organized in 1696.
